Onward Waste Ltd is committed to operating responsibly, lawfully and with respect for the people working within our business and supply chain.

We do not tolerate modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking or other forms of unlawful exploitation. This page summarises our wider Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement (OW-MS-001).

Our approach

As a waste-management business, we work with a range of suppliers and service providers.

We take a proportionate, risk-based approach to supplier relationships. This includes using established providers, checking relevant licences and authorisations where appropriate, and acting where credible concerns arise.

Our people

We aim to maintain fair and lawful employment practices, including appropriate employment terms, lawful pay, right-to-work checks and a safe and respectful working environment.

We do not knowingly use forced, trafficked or child labour and expect those we work with to operate lawfully and ethically.

Raising concerns

Any genuine concern relating to exploitation, forced labour, trafficking or serious unethical conduct will be taken seriously.

Where appropriate, we may investigate further, require a supplier or contractor to address concerns, end a business relationship or refer serious matters to the relevant authorities.

Our statement

Onward Waste Ltd is below the statutory turnover threshold requiring publication of an annual statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

We nevertheless maintain this statement voluntarily as part of our wider ethical, employment and supplier standards, and review our approach periodically.
